The Center is comprised of 156 acres’ research farm with center pivot irrigation and dryland research capability. Green house space (up to 1600 sq ft in two bays) is also available. We have well-equipped labs and field-research facility for crop and soil management research. There is an on-campus National Weather Service Meteorological Station. The center has the land at an elevation of 4,435 feet above sea level. The Olton clay loam soil at the Center is representative of a vast area of the High Plains of New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle.

Location
The NMSU Agricultural Science Center at Clovis is located 13 miles North of Clovis on State Road 288 and as such is on the Western edge of Southern Great Plains.
